Twilight Tour: The Best of Oakwood
Tuesday, August 5th, 6pm-8pm $12.00 pp
We’ll listen to fascinating stories about the 'residents' of this 19th C. rural cemetery as we visit beautiful monuments for inventors, educators, Civil War soldiers and the founding fathers of Troy. Even if you've lived in the Capital Region your whole life, you might be surprised to hear yourself saying "I never knew that before!" The grave of “Uncle Sam”, sunset at the panoramic overlook, and the Gardner Earl Chapel are included highlights. This relaxing 1 mile loop, walking tour mainly along paved roads will be conducted by Oakwood volunteer, Toni Craft. Call 1-800-556-6273 to reserve, $12 per person, pay on arrival. Meet at the bell. Although walk-ins are accepted, a minimum number of registrations must be met or the tour will be canceled so please try to call ahead.
