David Van Ness

A merchant, Van Ness served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and was a member of the NYS Assembly from Dutchess County from 1790-91, a Presidential Elector for New York in 1792 and a member of the NYS Senate Middle District, 1800-02.
